A SYDNEYbased development company is about to release a multimillion-dollar small acreage project on the western fringe of Maitland.
Windella Rise, approved by Maitland City Council, will soon be marketed by Tony Cant Real Estate. The Winton Property Group is behind the development, which is between Lochinvar and Aberglasslyn. There will be 51 prestige small acreages with lot sizes averaging 6000 square metres. The company would not disclose details of the overall cost of the development or individual lots but it is understood that it will be a multimillion-dollar project. A spokesman for Tony Cant Real Estate, Andrew Cant, said the land release was an opportunity for people to live a rural lifestyle in the wake of State Government calls for more urban residential development."There is nothing like this on the market in Maitland at the moment," Mr Cant said. "Lots like these are hard to find anywhere." He said construction of the estate would begin within the next few months with the lots to hit the market at the end of April.Mr Cant said the Winton Property Group was a respected property developer with a good track record, with projects throughout the state. He said the company had other land holdings in the Hunter Valley.Windella Rise would be constructed to a high standard and would include post and rail fencing to the front of each lot with rural fencing along other boundaries, Mr Cant said.Maitland Mayor Peter Blackmore said the development was great for the city."This is exciting for the city seeing the State Government is moving away from that type of development," Cr Blackmore said."I believe there will be a market for this land with people moving into the area looking for more space and the possibility of pets for their family along with the quality this lifestyle has to offer."
