Parsons seals deal

IT took a while but former Newcastle Knights prop Matt Parsons has finally sold his Seaham acreage for $617,000.

The house (above) on 12 hectares made a 12 per cent gain on the $550,000 Parsons paid for it at the market's peak in June 2003.

It went on the market last August priced at $675,000.

Selling agent Craig Higgins of Dowling Raymond Terrace said there were three people interested in buying the property at New Line Road but all had to sell before buying.

The deal was finally negotiated with a Morisset resident who was able to buy outright while keeping his Lake Macquarie property.

The four-bedroom brick house overlooking the Williams River has a sauna, spa, study, undercover entertaining area and in-ground pool. A stable, dam and motorcross tracks were also part of the package.
