Ranch Changes Hands

ONE of Black Hill's fine acreage properties has sold for $645,000.

The house at 13 Walter Parade is next door to Carmel, the glamorous white Georgian-style mansion understood to have changed hands recently for an undisclosed price below $2 million.

And at Phoenix Road another acreage property sold in December for $1.2 million.

The house at 13 Walter Parade, on more than a hectare of irrigated land, went on the market with Robinson Property agent Michael Flook about six weeks ago with a $675,000 asking price after a period of earlier marketing with a Maitland agent.

It was a lifestyle change for the vendors who were moving to one of the Becton apartments on the Newcastle waterfront and agreed to negotiate on the price to secure a sale.

The four bedroom single level homestead had all the space and luxury associated with ranches at Black Hill as well as a beautiful in-ground pool, spa and entertaining area, four vehicle garaging and views as far as Stockton.
