VIEWS to Rehead Bluff and the melody of bellbirds can be enjoyed from this extensively landscaped Mount Hutton acreage.

Using equipment from his earthmoving business, Graham Jobson forged a winding driveway, level elevated homesite and lawn area from a steep and scrubby 6183sq metre block.

The result is a wonderfully positioned house with expansive views, beautifully landscaped grounds and plenty of room for children to play.

Mr Jobson and his wife Janelle put their home on the market after deciding to move west for a different lifestyle and new business venture.

Selling agent Bill Kington of Creer and Berkeley said the block was zoned residential and therefore had potential to be subdivided. He also pointed out that it was permissible to build another dwelling on the existing block.

The winding driveway leads to a double garage, ample guest parking and plenty of room for turning.

Perched so high on the block, the rambling brick and tile house not only has privacy from neighbours, it surveys the houses below.

It was built just over three years ago and offers plenty of room for a family.

A covered entry opens onto a tiled foyer, which leads either right to the formal living areas or left to the casual living space.

The formal lounge and dining room, which is set up as a games room, is a large open-plan space.

It has access to a kitchen that overlooks a tiled casual dining and family room. This area opens onto a large pergola area outside. In fact, the house is surrounded by pebblecrete, making the whole area useable for outdoor entertaining.

A study is off the casual living area and a long hallway leads to four other bedrooms. Three bedrooms have built-in robes while the main is extra spacious and includes a walk-in robe and roomy ensuite.

A main bathroom is a three-way design and an internal laundry has outside access.

Other features of the property include a gazebo nestled under the shade of mature gum trees, a large parking bay at the bottom of the block and numerous sites for the addition of an inground swimming pool (Olympic size if desired).
